Title: Sole Source Acquisition for Olympus IPLEX LX Borescope Repair F3T2CM6071AQ01 The 4th Contracting Squadron, Seymour Johnson AFB, NC intends to award a sole source purchase order to Olympus Scientific Solutions Americas, Inc. The borescope was previously purchased as part of an Olympus IPLEX LX Videoscope System under contract FA4809-15-P-0057. The borescope was damaged by the user to include a damaged CCD Wiring, distal tube, channel tube, and hanger clips. In order to repair the Olympus IPLEX LX Videoscope Measuring Borescope Repair, it must meet all of the specifications listed below: - One (1) UPIVEZCN00 - One (1) D/E Insertion Tube 8635X1 - Four (4) Adjustment Screw FX6 - One (1) Hanger This procurement is intended to be awarded as a sole source due to Olympus Scientific Solutions Americas, Inc. is the only company that can meet all of the afore mentioned specifications in order to maintain manufacturer warranty specifications in accordance with the previously purchased Olympus IPLEX LX Videoscope System on contract FA4809-15-P-0057. Furthermore, in North and South America, Olympus Scientific Solutions Americas is the sole source of Olympus brand videoscope, fiberscope, and borescope equipment including the IPLEX videoscopes. These IPLEX videoscope systems include but are not limited to control units, insertion probes, optical tip adapters, rigid sleeves, as well as the IPLEX Viewer computer software. This purchase will be made under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and Other Than Full and Open Competition as authorized by FAR 13.106(b)(1), Soliciting From a Single Source. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract lies solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive requirement. The closing date for this synopsis is 11 April 2016 at 12:00 P.M.
