This procurement supports the agency's standard-issue FN rifle platform. LEI sworn personnel carry approved and properly functioning duty rifles while performing official duties. This acquistion does not invovle replacing or modifying the rifle's serialized (the legal firearm). LEI rifles currently in service utilitze FN-manufactured lower recievers; therefore, replacement barrels must be manufactorer-matched FN compnents to ensure proper fit, compatibility, safety and compliance with agency armorer and platform specifications.
