Full Description

The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division (NSWCCD) intends to award a firm fixed price purchase order software and technical support to The MathWorks, Inc., 3 Apple Hill Drive, Natick, MA 01760-2098. The software and technical support consists of 3 new Commercial Perpetual Individual licenses. The software targeted for procurement includes MATLAB, Simulink, and their associated toolboxes, inclusive of the Gauges Blockset, Embedded Coder, Matlab Coder, Matlab Report Generator, SimPowerSystems, Simulink Coder, Stateflow, Simulink Report Generator, Simscape, Simulink Verification and Validation. These tools are used by code 958 in support of the acquisition and life-cycle for multiple LHD and LHA machinery control systems (MCS). The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106(b). Mathworks, Inc. has developed the named software and has not licensed the rights to the Government or any other vendors to compound and manufacture this material. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or to submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received prior to April 22, 2014 will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed purchase order based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
