The Department of Homeland Security intends to issue a sole source purchase order to AZ Expert Arms for the purchase of the following items: US Thompson Model 1928 in caliber .45 acp, British Sten Mark II (stamped steel frame) in caliber 9 m/m, British Sten Mark V (wood frame) in caliber 9 m/m, Soviet PPsh 41Submachinegun in caliber 7.62 x 25 m/m, US M3A1 Grease Gun in caliber .45 acp, Soviet AKSU-74 Krinkow Assault Rifle in caliber 5.45x 39 m/m, Czechoslovakia CZ 25 in caliber 7.62x25 m/m, Argentine FMK-3 in caliber 9 m/m, and Chinese PPsh 43 in caliber 7.62x25 m/m. AZ Expert Arms is the only federally licensed dealer that has a sampling of these firearms in stock and available for purchase. Based on the foregoing, this requirement will be procured in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other type of supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
