Intent to Sole Source Storage/Retrieval System

This is a notice of intent to issue a sole source award to Stanley Vidmar Storage Technologies, PO Box 371744, Pittsburgh PA 15251-7744 for the purchase of a storage/retrieval system. The authority cited is 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c) (1), FAR 6.302, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The Government will only favorably consider and evaluate offers that unquestionably and clearly demonstrate the offerors ability to provide the same "Brand Name" system. Product must be "Brand Name". If providing an "EQUAL" product, please provide the specifications of each item for technical acceptance review. Line 0001: 1 Each - Modula MXV-50 VLM - 17' 4 5/8" high (17'9" overall height clearance required), 1,100 lb. live load capacity per drawer and 132,000 lb. overall potential machine capacity. This machine will contain a total of 43 slotted drawers providing 122" x 24 5/8" usable space (21.82 sq ft) per drawer. There will be: (13) 3" deep slotted drawers at 4" pitch/3" usable with adjustable partitions (13) 5" deep slotted drawers at 6" pitch/5" usable with adjustable partitions (10) 5" deep slotted drawers at 7" pitch/6" usable with adjustable partitions (4) 7" deep slotted drawers at 8" pitch/7" usable with adjustable partitions (2) 8" deep slotted drawers at 10" pitch/9" usable with adjustable partitions (1) 8" deep slotted drawer at 13" pitch/12" usable with adjustable partitions This machine will include: An internal single level pick bay Automatic Closing Doors Stationary Color Touch Screen Operator Console Drawer Weigh Scale High Speed Timing Belt Drive Ethernet and Bar Code Connections This will include delivery and installation at AASF#2, 2917 Hein Street, Salina KS 67401 Line Item 0002: 1 Each - Systore Modula Inventory Control Software (External PC Required) Systore Modula Software provides the capability for user log and identification for security. Pick to Picture feature allows the user to identify and then select inventory by photograph tied to the part number and description. Software will also control inventory outside of the Modula VLM and allows for kitting, batch picking, etc. It also supports bar code usage, host interface and numerous reports. Any change to this notice shall be authorized only by the Contracting Officer and will be issued by written addendum.
