Intent to Sole Source to Unity, Inc. (formally known as Siemens)

149th Fighter Wing intends to negotiate and award a firm-fixed price contract on a sole source basis, pursuant to FAR 6.302-1, with Unify Inc. (formally known as Siemens Enterprise Communications, Inc.). This purchase will be made under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and Other Than Full and Open Competition as authorized by FAR 13.501. The contracting officer has determined that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available (reference FAR 13.106(b)(1)(i)), therefore, a Request for Quote (RFQ) solicitation from a single source, will be issued, without set-aside, for the acquisition of installation and software upgrade services. Unify Consoles are proprietary equipment where no other vendor is authorize with the capabilities to install and service their equipment. Unify Consoles are applicable to NAICS 541511, and are designed to assist in streamlining command and control operations to provide a range communications capabilities to include dispatching, communications recordings, and other features to enhance the efficiency of daily operations. Please note that this notice is not a request for competitive proposals; however, any responsible party who believes they can responsibly meet the requirements are invited to submit in writing complete information describing their ability to provide the product/services no later than 4:00 P.M.
