AI Contract Overview
The 355th Communication Squadron intends to sole source procure eight High Assurance Internet Protocol Encryptor (HAIPE) systems from NexTech Solutions (NTS) to establish a mobile Mission Planning Cell capable of supporting expeditionary operations and Mission Generation Force Element deployments. These systems must enable both NIPRNet and SIPRNet connectivity, allowing access to critical mission planning and execution data in austere global locations. Key features include small-form-factor ruggedized kits with minimum 8 ports each for NIPRNet and SIPRNet, internal replaceable battery power compliant with MIL-STD, multiple internet integration options including built-in 5G SIM card slots, capability for wired internet intake, and single-person portability with rapid setup and teardown under 10 minutes. This procurement is not a competitive solicitation but an intent to sole source under FAR 6.302-1 due to the Government’s lack of necessary data to manufacture the item from other sources. While all responsible sources may express interest and provide capability statements within three workdays of the notice, the award may proceed without source approval due to timing constraints. The contract includes two line items each specifying four units of the small form-factor SIPR capable kits. The acquisition is managed by the Department of Defense at Davis Monthan AFB, Arizona, with key points of contact identified for further inquiries, emphasizing the specialized and urgent nature of the requirement.
