The Department of Defense, through the Defense Media Activity in Riverside, California, has issued a notice of intent to award a sole source contract to TM Studios located in Dallas, Texas. This procurement, conducted under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 and 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), is intended to grant the government international broadcast distribution rights for radio production material to support the American Forces Network. The required materials include recurrent hit music CDs and data updates across several radio program categories, specifically CHR/Urban, Adult Contemporary/Hot Adult Contemporary, Country, and Rock/Alternative/AAA/Active Rock. The justification for the sole source award is based on the fact that TM Studios is the only responsible source capable of satisfying the agency requirements due to copyright ownership. The estimated annual cost for these services is 51,269.89 dollars. While this announcement serves as the primary notice and no written solicitation will be issued, the government reserved the right to consider proposals from other interested parties to determine if a competitive procurement was necessary. The action is categorized under NAICS code 512120.
