Export Development Canada (EDC) is seeking a comprehensive, standardized international trade curriculum and learning platform to enhance the global business capabilities and export readiness of Canadian trade professionals. This procurement, identified as solicitation 26-122, is being conducted as an Advance Contract Award Notification (ACAN) with the Forum for International Trade Training (FITT) as the intended supplier. The award is based on a sole-source justification under the Lack of Competition for Technical Reasons or Supplier’s Exclusive Rights exception, as FITT holds the exclusive proprietary intellectual property and nationally recognized certification standards for international trade in Canada. The contract features an initial three-year term with four subsequent one-year option periods, representing a potential total duration of seven years. The estimated base value is 1,350,000 dollars, with a potential total value reaching up to 6,750,000 dollars. Key deliverables include a subscription-based digital platform, the delivery of virtual and in-person training, and the co-development of co-branded content aligned with Canadian business practices and international trade competency standards. Performance is centered in the National Capital Region of Ottawa, and the contractor retains ownership of foreground intellectual property unless specifically directed otherwise by EDC.
