The National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) intends to issue a sole source commercial item purchase order, in accordance with FAR 5.101(a)(1), with only one responsible source that will satisfy the agency's requirement. The NEA intends to issue this contract to Allied Telecom Group for continued internet access services during the agency's short time left at the Old Post Office building in Washington, DC. Switching Internet service providers at this time would require significant configuration changes to the agency's computer servers and networking devices, amongst additional changes in other networking equipment dealing with the agency's email and other numerous systems. This notice of intent is for informational purposes only. This notice is not a request for competitive quotes or proposals nor will a formal solicitation be issued. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
