Full Description

The intent and purpose of this Request for Proposal (“RFP”) is to solicit competitive, sealed proposals for Internet, Wide Area Network (WAN) and Special Construction Installation Services to meet the current and future needs of the School District of Osceola County hereafter referred to as “The District” or “SDOC.” The services requested under this RFP are: 1. Internet Access with Distributed Denial of Services (DDoS) 2. Leased Lit or Leased Dark fiber wide area network (WAN) and related services The District is seeking Internet Access and Wide Area Network services that function as a single, well-managed network rather than two independently operated connections. Because a fault on either service can appear to end users as a single outage, the District values the ability to identify quickly whether a performance issue originates on the WAN or on the Internet connection, and to have one Respondent responsible for diagnosing and resolving it — rather than having District staff coordinate between two vendors, each pointing to the other`s network as the source of a problem. The District therefore has an operational interest in awarding both services to a single Respondent capable of providing unified fault isolation across the WAN and Internet connection, a single escalation and trouble-reporting path, and consolidated service-level reporting across both services. Respondents are encouraged to submit proposals for one or both services; the District will evaluate Internet Access and the Wide Area Network as separate service requests, each scored against its own evaluation criteria, and reserves the right to award one or more contracts to one or more qualified vendors. It is anticipated that the contract(s) will be for an initial contract term of five (5) years, with two (2) subsequent five (5) year renewals for a maximum of 15 years, pending Board approval. Contract start date shall be July 1, 2027.
