Issuance of General Lease – Recreational Use – Lease 2336

The California State Lands Commission is authorizing the issuance of General Lease 2336 for recreational use on sovereign land in Lake Tahoe, specifically adjacent to 6730 Powderhorn Lane near Tahoma in Placer County. This lease grants the Gregory Fairrington and Kathryn Oates-Fairrington Living Trust the legal authority to utilize an existing pier and one mooring buoy. The agreement is set for a ten-year term beginning on June 23, 2026. The project has been granted a categorical exemption under Class 1 for existing facilities, as it is determined that the lease will not cause a physical change in the environment or alter existing activities in the area. This environmental exemption was approved by the Assistant Chief of the Division of Environmental Science, Planning, and Management.
