ISU-60 and 90 Container Repairs

Sole Source Acquisition for the Purchase of ISU 60 and ISU 90 Repairs W912LC-18-Q-0114 The USPFO-CO Army National Guard Contracting Office, Buckley AFB, CO intends to award a sole source purchase order to AAR Manufacturing, Inc.; required items to be purchased are: This procurement will be for the purchase of ISU 60 and 90 (Internal Airlift/Helicopter Slingable) Container Units repair for the Army National Guard. The ISUs 60 and 90, 56000 Series are currently employed at Watkins, CO and are critical to the mobility of the National Guard. APPLICABILITY OF AUTHORITY: This purchase will be made under Simplified Acquisition Procedures as authorized by FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i). AAR Manufacturing, Inc. has proprietary rights to maintenance and repair of ISU series containers. This is the only company authorized to maintain and repair the ISU 60/90 containers. Failure to properly maintain this equipment could lead to mishaps before, during, or after transportation. Purchase of any other system would result in substantial duplication of cost to the Government that is not expected to be recovered through competition. Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract lies solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive requirement. The closing date for this synopsis is 14 September 2018 at 3:00 P.M EST.
