IT Security Products and Services: Next Gen VOR

The Government of Ontario, through Supply Ontario, has issued a Request for Information (RFI) regarding IT Security Products and Services (ITSPS) to conduct market research and gather vendor insights. The primary objective of this RFI is to facilitate a strategic transition in the province's IT security procurement model, moving from a highly granular structure of approximately 36 security categories to a streamlined framework consisting of nine broader IT security domains. These domains include Application, Cloud Infrastructure, Data Security, Endpoint, Identity, Network, SecOps, Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC), and Managed Services. The new model is designed to encompass vertical streams for both products and professional services. Vendors are invited to participate via an online response format, which is structured around a qualification envelope. This process requires respondents to provide detailed information regarding their organizational profiles, current offerings, and insights into technology and market trends, such as emerging technologies and service delivery models. Additionally, the RFI seeks direct feedback from the industry on the proposed transition to the nine-domain procurement model.
