Supply: The Air Force has issued a sole source award to ION CORPORATION for the purchase of Information Technology related software to include: MFCC ITA Level III Drawing Packages with Illustrated Parts Breakdown; MFCC SRU ITAs, and MFCC Load Bank. The award date is 16 APR 2009. The NAICS code for this requirement is 334417 with a size standard of no more than 500 employees. THIS IS SOLE SOURCED TO ION CORPORATION DUE TO PREVIOUS RESEARCH SURVEY RESULTS PROVING THAT THIS WAS THE ONLY MANUFACTURER WHO WAS ABLE TO PROVIDE A STANDARD, OFF THE SHELF HINGED PANEL ADAPTER DESIGN FOR THE VIRGINIA PANEL SERIES 90 THREE TIER INTERFACE SYSTEM AT THE TIME OF ORIGINAL SURVEY. THEREFORE, NO START-UP AND SET-UP COSTS ARE INCLUDED IN CURRENT PURCHASES. Central Contractor Registration (CCR) is required to receive any award. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government solicited and negotiated with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. However, all informational proposals will be considered within 10 days after the publication of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
