This contract seeks repair services for a single POWER UNIT, GAS TURB, identified by NIIN 012678229 and part number 116305-300. Due to the flight-critical nature of the item and limited Government-held technical data, this procurement is restricted to sources already approved by the Government. New source approvals require submission of detailed technical data as outlined in the NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support Source Approval Information Brochures, and any offers from unapproved sources must include this information or relevant documentation if approval is pending. Offers that fail to comply with these source approval requirements will be excluded from consideration. The solicitation, identified by number N0038317PY355, is issued by the Naval Supply Systems Command Weapon Systems Support under the Department of Defense, with the office based in Philadelphia, PA. Because the item is critical to fleet support, the contract award process prioritizes timely fulfillment, potentially proceeding without new source approval if processing delays jeopardize Government requirements. This approach ensures availability of the item despite stringent source approval protocols, emphasizing the importance of approved suppliers and the sensitive nature of this procurement.
