The Department of Veterans Affairs, Jonathan M. Wainwright Memorial VA Medical Center, 77 Wainwright Drive, Walla Walla, WA 99362-3975, intends to negotiate a sole source contract for the 3M Preventative Maintenance Agreement. This service package consists of comprehensive scheduled maintenance and emergency service of the 8XL sterilization equipment. This requirement is unique in that 3M is the only known vendor who possesses the required technical capability to perform this service. This proposed action in which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source is being conducted under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b). This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be honored. If however, any source believes it can furnish the service described above it is encouraged to furnish information about its product and services, as well as references from other customers who are using the same product. You may email contact@example.gov for a complete listing. Supporting evidence (i.e. authorized distributor, etc.) must be furnished, in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements.
