Responses or proposals received within 45 days (or 30 days if under an existing Basic Ordering Agreement) will be considered, although the government retains sole discretion to proceed without competition. The government has also indicated that it is not using commercial item acquisition procedures for this requirement but allows interested sources to demonstrate if they can meet the government's needs with commercial items within 15 days of the notice. Relevant military and federal specifications may be accessed through designated DoD documentation services. The contracting activity is the Naval Supply Systems Command Weapon Systems Support located in Mechanicsburg, PA, under the Department of Defense.
