The contract involves the procurement of four units of circuit card assemblies identified by NSN 7H-5998-015453702, intended for repair or modification purposes. The delivery terms specify FOB origin with the items to be issued to Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation located in Charlottesville, Virginia. This procurement is being conducted through a sole source solicitation under FAR 6.302-1, meaning the government plans to negotiate exclusively with one source but invites other responsible parties to express interest or submit capability statements within specified timeframes. Responses received will help determine whether a competitive procurement will be pursued. Qualification requirements for award are stringent, requiring the offeror, product, or manufacturer to meet predetermined standards aligned with FAR clause 52.209-1. Interested parties can obtain relevant Military and Federal Specifications, Standards, Qualified Products Lists, and other standardized documents primarily via the DoD Single Stock Point’s online resources, with alternative assistance available for those lacking internet access. The government indicates that commercial item acquisition policies under FAR Part 12 will not be applied, although firms can propose commercial items if they do so within 15 days of the notice. The contracting office overseeing this action is the NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support office in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania. This procurement approach reflects a careful evaluation process aimed at meeting specific military needs through qualified suppliers under controlled and regulated government acquisition protocols.
