The contract concerns the procurement of 21 units of a specific circuit card assembly, designated NSN 7H-5998-015163874, under TDP Version 001, for repair or modification purposes. Delivery terms are FOB origin, with the items to be issued to Raytheon Company in Tucson, Arizona. This is a sole-source procurement action, meaning the Government intends to negotiate exclusively with one supplier due to the unique nature of the part, which must be acquired from a designated manufacturing source as specified by DoD standards. The necessary technical data, government data rights, or manufacturing knowledge for alternative sources are either unavailable or cannot be obtained economically, preventing competition or use of second-source parts. While this notice is not a request for competitive quotes, interested parties may express their interest and capability, and the Government will consider any responsive proposals received within specified timeframes. The procurement follows the authority of FAR 6.302-1, allowing sole-source contracting without competition based on market research and the unique nature of the item. The Government is not utilizing FAR Part 12 policies for commercial item acquisition for this requirement, but potential suppliers can identify their commercial item capabilities within 15 days. Relevant military and federal specifications and standards related to the item can be accessed through the DoD Single Stock Point or online via ASSIST-Online. The contract is managed by the Naval Supply Weapon Systems Support Mechanic office located in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania. The Government retains full discretion on whether to pursue competitive procurement based on responses to this notice.
