The contract involves the procurement of three units of a circuit card assembly under NSN 7H-5998-015317301, as specified by technical data package version 004, in accordance with reference number 350176-3. The delivery terms are FOB origin, with the items issued to Frontier Electronic Systems Corp in Stillwater, Oklahoma. The Government intends to award this contract through negotiation with only one source, due to the lack of rights or data allowing for purchase from additional suppliers and the uneconomical nature of acquiring such rights or reverse engineering the part. While this notice is not a request for competitive quotes, interested parties may demonstrate their interest and capacity to fulfill the requirement, with proposals considered prior to the award date. This acquisition, issued by the Department of Defense’s Navsup Weapon Systems Support in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, is governed under FAR 6.302-1, permitting sole-source negotiation. The Government’s discretion will determine whether to conduct competitive procurement following responses to this notice. Market research has concluded that commercial item acquisition policies are not applicable, though parties can express interest within 15 days if they believe commercial items could satisfy the requirement. Relevant documents such as military specifications can be accessed via the DoD Single Stock Point or the ASSIST online portal, although certain technical data like patterns and drawings are not available at these sites.
