Managed by the Navsup Weapon Systems Support Mech for the period of May 31, 2009, through May 31, 2010, the contract is awarded to Fairbanks Morse Engine. This agreement is issued under 10 USC 2304(c)(1) as a sole-source procurement because Fairbanks Morse Engine is identified as the only company possessing the proprietary drawings, specialized tooling, and technical expertise required for these specific repairs. The scope of work includes the repair of complex components such as blower and rotor assemblies. While the agreement establishes the general framework for these services, any individual orders exceeding 25,000 dollars will be synopsized separately in accordance with FAR subpart 5.3. Interested parties regarding alternative products are directed to the specific guidance identified as LA27LN.
