The contract involves the procurement of 11 units of a specific item identified by NSN 7H-5825-015761572 under Technical Data Package Version 001, with delivery terms set as FOB origin. The intended recipient for this acquisition is Briartek Inc., located in Alexandria, Virginia. This procurement action is unique in that it is not open for competitive bidding; instead, the Government plans to negotiate exclusively with a single source, though it remains open to considering interest and capabilities from other potential suppliers. Responses or quotes submitted before the award date will be reviewed, but the Government retains full discretion over whether to pursue a competitive procurement based on this input. This notice clarifies that the Government lacks sufficient, accurate, or legible data to procure the item from any source other than the current supplier, which further justifies the single-source negotiation approach. The contract title indicates it relates to repair and modification services for a direction finder system. The solicitation is managed by the Naval Supply Systems Command Weapon Systems Support office based in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, under the Department of Defense. The government’s decision-making process emphasizes the limited data available and the intention to ensure continuity and quality by engaging the incumbent source, with no set-aside or specific socioeconomic considerations noted.
