The contract involves the procurement of five units of an optoelectronic display identified by NSN 7H-5980-015711827, with delivery terms set as FOB origin to Daisy Data Displays Inc. located in York Haven, Pennsylvania. This procurement action is planned to be awarded through negotiated sole source acquisition under FAR 6.302-1, indicating that the government intends to contract directly with a single source based on market research and other considerations. While the government does invite other responsible sources to express their interest and capability to meet the requirement, or to submit proposals, quotations, or capability statements, this notification does not constitute a solicitation for competitive proposals. All responses received within the specified time frames—45 days from the synopsis publication or 30 days if under an existing basic ordering agreement—will be considered in the government’s decision-making process regarding competition. The government is not pursuing this procurement under the commercial item acquisition policies of FAR Part 12, but potential suppliers may still identify if they can fulfill the requirement with a commercial item within 15 days. Interested parties are directed to access relevant military and federal specifications, qualified product lists, and other standards through the DoD Single Stock Point via Document Automation and Production Service (DAPS) in Philadelphia, with most documents available online. Additional instructions for obtaining necessary documentation, including alternative ordering procedures for those without internet access, are provided to ensure bidders have the information needed to respond adequately. The contracting office responsible is located in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, under the Naval Supply Systems Command Weapon Systems Support.
