This solicitation is a Request for Information (RFI) issued by WR-ALC/LBKA at Robins Air Force Base, seeking budgetary cost information for the commercial equivalent of a USAF standard Programmed Depot Maintenance (PDM) in support of four C-130K aircraft for Mexico. The aircraft include two C-130K-30 Stretch Early H models and two C-130K Early H models, all manufactured between 1967 and 1968 with significant airframe hours logged. They are equipped with Hamilton Standard 54H60 four-blade propellers, Garrett gas turbine compressors, external fuel tanks, and operate under the UK-developed AVP67 maintenance program. The request specifies minimal avionics upgrades and detailed existing avionics systems, including autopilot, various radios, navigation, radar, and GPS systems. The solicitation also calls for pricing on engine overhaul services, although the quantity needed is yet to be determined. Importantly, this RFI is strictly for budgetary purposes, with no current funding allocated, and there is no intent to award a contract or pay for proposals received. Responses are requested by October 25, 2002, and participation is voluntary. Technical inquiries can be directed to the provided contacts.
