The contract involves the procurement of six units of a radio frequency filter, identified by NSN 7H-5915-013645258, version 005 of the technical data package (TDP). Delivery terms are FOB origin, with the items to be issued to RAM-Systems GmbH located in Ottobrunn, Germany. This acquisition is conducted under a sole-source basis, as the government intends to negotiate exclusively with a single source, reflecting the fact that it does not possess or find it economically feasible to acquire the data rights required to source this part from others or to reverse engineer it. Although this notice invites interested parties to express their capability and submit quotes or proposals for consideration, it is not a solicitation for competitive bids, and the government reserves full discretion over whether to pursue competition based on the responses received. The contract is managed by the Department of Defense through the Navsup Weapon Systems Support Mechanic office in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania. Relevant military and federal specifications, standards, and related documentation necessary for understanding and responding to the requirement are accessible primarily through online resources like ASSIST-Online or via the DoD Single Stock Point in Philadelphia. The government will consider any proposals submitted within 45 days of the notice publication (or 30 days if under an existing Basic Ordering Agreement) but emphasizes that the information received will mainly aid in deciding whether to initiate a competitive procurement in the future. The solicitation reference number is N0010416PLB32, and it pertains specifically to repair or modification services related to the specified radio frequency filter.
