HYDRAULIC HARDLINE The solicitation number is FA8601-08-T-0011. The proposed contract is for the purchase of a Hydraulic Hard-line for the FIRST, Mechanical & Thermal Experimental Laboratory which the government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1. The proposed source is MTS SYSTEMS CORPORATION. The supplies and services being purchased are as follows: ? Hydraulic Distribution Hoses for 13 Stations and 1 capped tee. ? Two sets of hoses for connection of the Hydraulic Service Manifold to the hardline station and from the Hydraulic Service Manifold to the Test Equipment. ? A ''Pre-engineering Site Inspection'' visit by an MTS (Mpls) Senior Hydraulics Engineer and Applications Engineer ? Accumulator Manifold Assembly for Enhanced Systems Performance ? Drainline Sump System ? Replace all HSM filters ? Drainline Sump System ? Hydraulic Distribution Hoses for 13 Stations ? Field Service Labor for the Hardline Distribution System Installation ? Freight Charges The government anticipates a sole source award to MTS SYSTEMS CORPORATION for the following reason: MTS SYSTEMS CORPORATION is currently the only source that specializes in the understanding of the functionality and installation of the equipment. To deviate from original equipment manufacturer (MTS) would result in unacceptable delays due their unfamiliarity of the test equipment, as well as furnishing a system with potential performance limitations due the lack of knowledge of the flow requirements further brought about by a lack of understanding of test machine operations. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all quotations/responses received within fifteen (15) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Any quotation/response should be faxed to Robin M. Hass, 88 CONS/PKA, 937-656-1412, or e-mailed to Robin.Hass@wpafb.af.mil no later than 11:59 p.m., 22 Nov 07. Any questions should be directed to Robin M. Hass at 937-522-4594.
