This is a pre-solicitation notice. NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center Puget Sound will be soliciting for STAR 200 low pressure air compressor (LPAC) air end replacement and 5 thousand hour maintenance in accordance with the solicitation specifications. Shipping terms will be FOB destination. This acquisition will be negotiated based on an other than full and open competition. RIX Industries and Curtiss Wright are the only qualified activities that are currently recognized by NAVSEA 05Z4 to manufacture, evaluate, repair and overhaul STAR 200 LPACs. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals prior to offer due date. A determination to compete this action based upon responses received to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be posted to the NECO website on or about 15 June 2018 with proposals due by 29 June 2018. A Firm-Fixed Price, Service type contract will be awarded in accordance with FAR parts 12 and 13, Commercial and Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This solicitation and any subsequent amendments will be posted to the NECO website: https://www.neco.navy.mil.
