The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to award on a sole source basis a purchase order to Bellsouth Telecommunications Inc of 2180 Lake Blouvard NE, Atlanta GA. The purchase order is for the purpose of providing the following maintenance service for: Description Quantity 6 Circuits for Fiber Optic Service 3 Months CDC to Crawford Communications Broadcast Quality Video Transport, 270 Mbps Serial Digital Interface (SDI), 4 Transmit/2Receive The authority for this sole source is FAR 6-302-1 (a) (2) - Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Bellsouth possess all design information and technical documentation regarding the maintenance of the fiber optic lines. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation is available. However, firms that believe they can provide the maintenance service need to submit written proposals and a statement of capabilities to the Contracting Specialist within 8 days from the publication date of this notice. The North American Industry Classification System Code is 811213. Vendor must be registered in the Center Contractor Registration (CCR) prior to award of a purchase (www.ccr.gov). A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
