This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for services prepared in accordance with the format in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are not being requested. This also serves as a notice of intent to negotiate on a sole source basis (Far 6.301-2, Only one Responsible Source and No Other Supplies are Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements), with Bellsouth Telecommunications Inc of 2180 Lake Blouvard NE, Atlanta GA on other than a full and open competitive basis because they are the only vendor uniquely qualified to properly provide the required service. Bellsouth possess all design information and technical documentation regarding the maintenance of the fiber optic lines. However, firms that believe they can provide the service need to submit written proposals and a statement of capabilities to the Contracting Specialist within 15 days from the publication date of this notice.
