The contract involves the procurement of two units of a specific item identified by NSN 7G-5895-016611976, described as a "J--MASTER INTERFACE CON" for repair or modification purposes. The delivery terms are FOB origin, and the contract is intended to be awarded to Lockheed Martin Corporation in Manassas, Virginia. This notice of intent signals the government's plan to negotiate exclusively with a single source due to the unique nature of the item and the impracticality of obtaining or producing the required data for competitive sourcing. The government has determined that purchasing or acquiring the rights to the necessary data, as well as reverse engineering the part, would be uneconomical. The solicitation, identified as N0010420PNB81 and posted on June 3, 2020, was issued by the Naval Supply Systems Command Weapon Systems Support Mech office located in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania. Although it is not a competitive solicitation, interested parties may express their interest or submit quotes, which the government may consider when deciding whether to pursue a competitive procurement. The point of contact for this procurement is Boyd B. Brandt. The contract underscores the specialized nature of the requirement and highlights the government's intent to streamline acquisition by engaging Lockheed Martin due to its exclusive capability or rights related to the part.

Request for Information: Additive Manufacturing
Solicitation # N0010427RZ058
The Naval Supply Systems Command Weapon Systems Support is conducting market research through Request for Information N0010427RZ058 to identify qualified sources capable of designing, producing, and delivering piece part components or entire assemblies using additive manufacturing methods. The government is specifically interested in vendors who can meet rigorous manufacturing, material, performance, testing, and quality assurance requirements. Interested businesses must provide detailed administrative data, descriptions of their manufacturing capabilities, facility certifications such as ISO 9001 or AS9100, and evidence of past performance with similar military or commercial hardware. Additionally, the government is soliciting industry feedback on the development of objective evaluation criteria and the structuring of performance-based incentives for future Firm-Fixed-Price contracts. All produced components must be fully interchangeable with traditionally manufactured equivalents and strictly adhere to the baselines established in Project Peculiar Document 802-8436658. Responses are due by October 22, 2026.
