The contract involves the procurement of 10 units of a special scale meter, identified by NSN 7H-6625-014403863 and TDP version 004, with delivery terms FOB origin to Sensora Corporation in Bowling Green, Kentucky. This is a sole-source acquisition under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, indicating the Government intends to negotiate with only one vendor due to the unique nature of the part and constraints such as a lack of data rights and the uneconomical nature of reverse engineering. Potential suppliers are invited to express interest or submit quotations, which will be reviewed to determine whether competitive procurement is necessary, though no competitive solicitation is currently planned. The solicitations do not follow the acquisition of commercial items under FAR Part 12; however, parties with commercial solutions may notify their interest within 15 days. Relevant Military and Federal specifications and standards related to the procurement are accessible through the DoD Single Stock Point (DODSSP) and the ASSIST-Online platform, though certain technical documents like patterns or drawings are not stocked. The contract is managed by the Department of Defense's Navsup Weapon Systems Support Mech office located in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, with the solicitation number N0010416PCB11, and any proposals received within 45 days of the notice publication (or 30 days for awards under a Basic Ordering Agreement) will be considered before an award decision.
