J--NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE - YEARLY AGILENT SERVICE CONTRACT - AGILENT HIGH RESOLUTION MICROARRAY SCANNER - AGILENT TECHNOLOGIES, INC.

Notice of Intent to Sole Source ERDC Contracting Office intends to solicit on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR13.106 to Agilent Technologies, Inc., 2850 Centerville Road, Wilmington, DE 19808-1610. This procurement is being conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). Agilent is the only known source available to provide yearly maintenance for the Agilent Microarray Scanner System, 93825. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 12:00 p.m. CST on September 15, 2014. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. No RFP will be issued based upon this Notice of Intent.
