The contract involves the procurement of six units of a power supply identified by NSN 7H-6130-012475817-GL, with delivery terms of FOB origin to Strike Technology Inc. located in Carson, California. This action is a notice of intent to award a sole-source contract, meaning the Government plans to negotiate exclusively with one supplier without a competitive bidding process, under FAR 6.302-1 authority. Although this notice is not a solicitation for competitive quotes, other interested parties are invited to express their interest or submit proposals within specified timeframes for the Government’s consideration. The Government has determined that the data rights to produce these items are not owned and that acquiring such data or reverse engineering the parts would be uneconomical, justifying the sole-source approach. Additional information highlights that standard military specifications and related documents required for the procurement can be accessed through official DoD resources such as DODSSP and ASSIST-Online. The procurement is managed by the Department of Defense’s Navsup Weapon Systems Support Mech office in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania. Market research indicates that the Government is not acquiring this item as a commercial product and does not intend to use commercial item acquisition policies. However, potential suppliers who can meet the requirements with a commercial item may notify the contracting officer within 15 days of this notice. All proposals or capability statements submitted prior to award will be reviewed to determine whether a competitive process should be pursued.
