The contract involves the procurement of eight units of a rectifier assembly, specified under NSN 7H-6130-014961389 with technical data package version 004, to be delivered FOB origin to Bogue Systems Inc. in Paterson, New Jersey. This acquisition is intended to be a sole-source negotiation between the Government and Bogue Systems Inc., as the Government does not possess the necessary rights or data to obtain the part from any other supplier. The contract underscores that it has been deemed uneconomical to purchase these rights or attempt reverse engineering. Although this notice is not a solicitation for competitive quotes, interested parties may express their interest, capability, or submit quotes within 45 days (30 days if under an existing Basic Ordering Agreement), which the Government may consider before awarding the contract. The acquisition falls under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, allowing sole-source negotiation due to the unique availability of the item. The Government is not employing commercial item acquisition policies for this procurement. Interested parties are directed to access relevant Military and Federal Specifications and Standards through official DoD document repositories to assess the requirements; however, proprietary drawings or purchase descriptions are not available through these channels. Responses received will guide the Government’s decision on whether to competitively procure in the future, but the final decision to proceed without competition remains at the Government’s discretion. The contract is managed by the Naval Supply Weapon Systems Support office located in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania.
