The contract involves the procurement of two units of a relay assembly, specifically identified by NSN 7H-5998-015415884 and TDP version 003, with delivery terms FOB origin. The order is issued to Raytheon Company located in Portsmouth, Rhode Island. This notice serves as an intent to negotiate a contract with a single source rather than as an invitation for competitive quotes, although interested parties may express their interest and submit quotes for consideration before the award date. The government retains discretion over whether to pursue a competitive procurement based on responses received, and the primary reason for single-source procurement is the lack of sufficient, accurate, or legible data necessary to obtain this part from other suppliers. The contract is managed under the Department of Defense through Navsup Weapon Systems Support Mech, with the office located in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania. Classified as a presolicitation, it pertains to repair or modification services for the relay assembly. The procurement does not list a specified NAICS code or set-aside category. The government’s decision to proceed with a non-competitive contract reflects a need to maintain continuity and reliability in sourcing critical components, as indicated by the contract notes and restricted availability of alternative suppliers.
