The Southwest Regional Maintenance Center (SWRMC) plans to award a sole source, firm-fixed-price contract to Fairbanks-Morse Engines for repairs to the Emergency Diesel Generator Fuel Control Linkage aboard the USS HAMPTON (SSN-767). This contract will be executed under statutory authority 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), allowing for non-competitive procurement because Fairbanks-Morse Engines is the original equipment manufacturer and the only provider capable of supplying the necessary parts and services. The contract will not be publicly solicited through the Government-wide Point of Entry, ensuring direct negotiation with Fairbanks-Morse Engines, located in National City, California. The contract, designated as CLIN 0001, requires the preparation and completion of the repairs with packaging done to best commercial practices to protect against damage. Items procured under this contract will be delivered FOB destination, with inspection and acceptance carried out at this location by the Government. Points of contact for this procurement are Tony I. Galace and John Rocks at SWRMC in San Diego, California, providing oversight and coordination for the repair work as outlined in the attached Statement of Work. The contract corresponds to NAICS code 333618, indicating the focus on engine and power transmission equipment manufacturing.
