Mandatory Site Visit - Janitorial Services - Canso Canal Mandatory Site Visit will be held on May 2, 2024 at 11:15 am local time at the Department Fisheries and Oceans, Canso Canal facility located at 11 Unit B, Highway 4, Port Hastings, Nova Scotia, B9A 1M3. It is a requirement for all persons wishing to submit a bid on this project to attend this meeting at the site to familiarize themselves fully with the scope of work and the tendering requirements. The Bidder’s representative must sign an attendance list and attend the entire site visit, to have their bid submission considered responsive. Please confirm your intent to participate in the site visit no later than April 30, 2024. Background: Real Property, Safety & Security (RPSS), Dept. of Fisheries and Oceans (DFO) requires cleaning services for the Canso Canal (Port Hastings, Nova Scotia) Professional cleaning service is required on a daily basis. Description of Work: Scope of work under this Contract comprises the provision of all labor, materials, tools, supervision and equipment necessary for complete and satisfactory janitorial services, as specified herein located at Canso Canal, Nova Scotia. The property is entirely developed and secured by 24/7 on site security. The facility is comprised of seven buildings in which only two (2) will require cleaning with a combined area of 776 sqm.(Square Meters). The building has two (2) types of Mandatory Cleaning Seasons and Mandatory Statutory Holiday cleanings. Duration: Contract award to March 31, 2025, with four (4) year option periods on one (1) year length.
