The Department of Defense is conducting market research through a Sources Sought Notice to identify qualified local small businesses capable of providing commercial electrical services under a potential multiple-award, 5-year Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract. The contract will support ongoing electrical infrastructure and maintenance needs at Eareckson Air Station, Alaska, with task orders ranging from just over $2,500 up to $125,000. Priority consideration is given to Woman-Owned Small Businesses and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses. This notice is not a solicitation but seeks to gather information from firms capable of meeting specific technical and operational criteria, including employing certified electricians able to work on high voltage, 3-phase commercial panels, perform conduit and wiring alterations, service battery backup and UPS systems, and handle standard electrical fixtures. Vendors must also commit to timely responses within 48 hours for requests to bid and ensure task orders can be completed within 60 days, providing all necessary equipment and participating in site visits. Interested vendors should submit a capability statement limited to five pages, clearly demonstrating their ability to fulfill the requirements, socioeconomic status, and relevant experience. The government is also open to suggestions regarding NAICS codes, product service codes, and contract approaches that align with industry standards. Responses are due by June 30, 2026, and questions can be directed to designated points of contact at the contracting office based at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson (JBER), Alaska. No contract award is guaranteed, and the government will not compensate for any information submitted.
