JDI Farms Initial Study/ Negative Declaration

The JDI Farms project involves the development of a mixed-light commercial cannabis cultivation and nursery business located in the A-2-20 General Agriculture zoning district of unincorporated Stanislaus County, specifically in Patterson, California. The facility will consist of 15 greenhouses for cultivation and five greenhouses for nursery production, with each cultivation greenhouse featuring 1,400 square feet of canopy, totaling 21,966 square feet of commercial canopy at full buildout. Additionally, the project utilizes an existing agricultural storage building and two accessory buildings for processing, distribution, storage, and office activities. The California Department of Cannabis Control served as the lead agency, conducting an environmental review under the California Environmental Quality Act. An Initial Study and Negative Declaration were issued, concluding that the project would not have a significant environmental effect, and final approval was granted on November 13, 2025. Administrative actions included a public review period from July 28 to September 2, 2025, and the payment of a 3,025.75 dollar environmental document filing fee to the Stanislaus County Clerk-Recorder. The project is managed by Senior Environmental Scientist Supervisor Kevin Ponce and is owned by Darron Silva.
