AI Contract Overview
The State of Ohio is seeking a qualified vendor to develop a comprehensive set of soft skills training modules specifically tailored for County Job and Family Services caseworkers. This initiative is part of Ohio Job and Family Services' broader effort to transform service delivery by fostering stronger, trust-based relationships between caseworkers and clients. The training will cover critical areas such as empowering clients in financial self-sufficiency, motivational interviewing, de-escalation techniques, trauma-informed care, recognition and response to family violence, and awareness of behavioral health issues including mental health and substance use. Additionally, the training aims to support workforce well-being by equipping caseworkers and supervisors with strategies to manage stress, reduce burnout, and improve staff retention. The modules must be engaging, grounded in adult learning principles, accessible to a diverse workforce, and compatible with the existing Learning Management System used by ODJFS and county partners. This solicitation is a 100% Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) set-aside, requiring proposals only from vendors currently certified as MBEs by the State of Ohio. The awarded vendor will be responsible for delivering short, user-friendly, on-demand training content alongside a “train-the-trainer” program to enable ODJFS or county trainers to deliver sessions independently. All training materials, including editable versions and final formats, must be fully owned by ODJFS and supplemented with guides, references, and tools to assess participant learning and gather feedback to ensure continuous improvement. This comprehensive solution is designed to enhance the skills and resilience of caseworkers while improving the quality and personalization of services offered to human services and child support recipients across Ohio.
