Job Corps Design & Construction Outreach Event Please join us! Description: The U.S. Department of Labor (DOL), Office of the Senior Procurement Executive (OSPE), Job Corps Acquisition Services (JCAS), is sponsoring a Job Corps Facilities Maintenance, Design, and Construction Outreach Day on September 25, 2024. This event is free of charge to all participants. North American Industry Classification System Codes (NAICS): 236220, Commercial and Institutional Building Construction 541310, Architectural Services 541330, Engineering Services Who Should Attend: Any entities interested in learning about contracting opportunities in construction, facilities maintenance, design, and engineering associated with the Job Corps program. DOL is especially interested in outreach to entities in underserved communities, such as Black, Latino, Indigenous and Native American persons, Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders and other persons of color; members of religious minorities; lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ+) persons; persons with disabilities; and persons who live in rural areas. Benefits of Attending: Job Corps is a residential training program that serves youth ages 16 to 24 with Job Corps Centers throughout the nation. Carrying out the program's mission requires building and maintaining Centers so that Job Corps students have safe and quality places in which to learn and reside. During the Outreach Event, participants will be able to network and hear federal contracting officers and program representatives discuss the type of construction and engineering services DOL requires to make the program possible. Conference Location: This Outreach Event will be held virtually via MS Teams on Wednesday, September 25, 2024 from 1:00pm - 2:00pm Eastern Time. Pre-registration Requirements: All vendors are required to pre-register via email to ETAOCM-JC-INDUSTRYDAY@dol.gov. (1) For pre-registration purposes, vendors are required to forward the following information: Name and Job Title, Business Name and Address, Telephone Number, Email Address.
