Job Related Drug Testing Services

The District of Columbia’s Special Education Transportation unit is seeking services to conduct job-related forensic screening as part of its drug and alcohol testing program, specifically for safety-sensitive positions. The contract requires comprehensive testing protocols including pre-employment, random, reasonable suspicion, post-accident or incident, return-to-duty, and follow-up testing for all affected Department of Transportation applicants and employees. In addition to testing, the provider must deliver Medical Review Officer services to interpret results, ensure regulatory compliance, and support appropriate follow-up actions. All activities must align with federal standards for safety-sensitive roles and maintain strict confidentiality and accuracy under forensic laboratory conditions.
