Full Description

The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) intends to award a purchase order for FlexProof 10e, Onsite FlexProof Install and Training, Eye-One Hardware + Eye-One iO and Dell PowerEdge Gold Server Platform from Esko-Graphics Inc. This purchase will be acquired under FAR Part 13-Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Esco-Graphic software is the tool currently utilized by BEP. The company produces a GRS file that is helping BEP to use all the secure features in printing the US currency and this is the only company that owns this file format. This software has been installed and operated for several years with successful results. This procurement will result in upgrades so that the product is properly supported. Since it is not cost effective to procure a new product, the best option to the government will be to continue using the existing product and keep it up-to-date and supportable via a routine maintenance agreement. This acquisition will be made under a Justification for Other than Full and Open Competition (JOFOC) as there is only one responsible source. The JOFOC is per FAR sub part 13.106-1(b)(1).
