The Naval Postgraduate School is organizing quarterly Joint Interagency Field Experimentation (JIFX) events throughout the 2017 fiscal year, providing a platform for experimenting with emerging technologies in challenging field environments. These events aim to explore innovative solutions to operational challenges faced by U.S. Combatant Commanders across multiple commands, including AFRICOM, CENTCOM, EUCOM, and others, as well as the supporting federal entities. The Department of Defense sponsors the initiative, inviting a broad range of participants such as companies, educational institutions, and laboratories to submit proposals for experiments that could lead to participation in future JIFX events. This opportunity does not involve awarding contracts based on the announcement or follow-up RFI notices; rather, it serves as a call for innovative experiment proposals to be tested in real-world conditions. Interested parties are directed to the JIFX website for detailed information on event dates and submission procedures. The solicitation is managed by the Naval Postgraduate School with the NAICS code 541712 and is intended to foster collaboration and technology experimentation that could enhance the capabilities of Combatant Commanders and their supporting organizations.
