Full Description

The U.S. Army Contracting Command - Aberdeen Proving Ground (ACC-APG), Edgewood Division, has awarded the Joint Service Aircrew Mask for Strategic Aircraft (JSAM SA), a Production & Deployment supply contract for the procurement of the Chemical-Biological Protective M69 Mask Systems. This contract is in support of the Joint Program Executive Office - Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear Defense (JPEO- CBRND); Joint Project Manager for Protection (JPM P). The award (W911SR-19-D-0002) was made to the following: Avon Protection Systems, Inc., at 503 8th St Cadillac, MI 49601-1370. The JSAM SA program requires M69 Mask Systems to support Full Rate Production (FRP) and the Services' Initial Operational Capability (IOC) and Full Operational Capability (FOC) requirements. Asset procurement will be through Firm Fixed Price (FFP) Delivery Orders. This acquisition also includes Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF) options for program management, systems engineering, and non-recurring engineering services and FFP options for spare parts and special tools. This acquisition also includes Cost CLINs for travel and shipping. The M69 Mask System was previously referred to as the Modified M53 (MM53) and Experimental M69 (XM69) during development under Contract W911SR-13-C-0050. The sole source award was made in accordance with FAR 6.302-1 "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements."
