The U.S. Air Force, through the 422nd SCMS Requirements Office at Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma, is conducting market research to identify potential vendors capable of manufacturing new Junction Box Assemblies with part number 827-11410-1 and NSN 5915-01-625-9401 for the B-52 platform. This effort is not a solicitation or a commitment to award a contract, and no funds are currently available; the goal is to assess the industrial base and determine whether the requirement can be fulfilled through competition or set aside for small businesses including 8(a), Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, HUBZone, and Women-Owned Small Businesses. Vendors must demonstrate the ability to handle full-scale manufacture including component procurement, inspection, testing, packaging, and logistics support, while also addressing nonrecurring engineering costs and supply chain challenges such as diminishing manufacturing sources and long-lead components. The government is seeking responses from interested parties before the deadline of August 13, 2026, with submissions to be sent via email to 421scms.requirements.workflow@us.af.mil, and must select the “Add Me to Interested Vendors” button to be considered. The North American Industry Classification System code is 336413 with a size standard of 1,250 employees, and the estimated spares requirement is 16 units.
