The State Water Resources Control Board (State Water Board) is funding the Project referred to internally as Water Filtration and Treatment System Upgrade Project. The components of the Project to be funded by the State Water Resources Control Board include retrofitting and upgrading the water treatment plant (WTP) by replacing filtration media, pumps, and appurtenances; recoating the interior and exterior of the WTP unit and the 12,000-gallon storage tank; installing a new concrete pad, 150-kilowatt propane-fueled emergency power generator, two 1,000-gallon propane tanks, and fencing around the equipment; and constructing a concrete or block (concrete masonry unit) retaining wall. Temporary water filtration and storage tanks would be installed to supply the school with drinking water during the Project construction. The temporary water filtration system would either be removed upon Project completion, or kept in place as a permanent backup filtration system in the case of an emergency. Staging of materials and construction equipment would occur at the Project site.
