Justification and Approval (J&A) - Acquisition of a Level Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Level D Qualified 747-8i Full Flight Simulator and Initial Logistics Support Package

In accordance with RFO 6.301, the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC/WVB), Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is posting the redacted Justification and Approval (J&A) for other than full and open competition supporting contract award FA8641-26-C-B002.

This sole source contract was awarded to CAE USA Inc., Tampa, Florida, on a firm-fixed-price basis in the amount of $45,319,364.00 under the statutory authority of 10 U.S.C. 3204(a)(1), as implemented by RFO 6.103-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The requirement encompasses the acquisition and installation of one (1) Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Level D Qualified 747-8i Full Flight Simulator (FFS) at Joint Base Andrews, Maryland, and the procurement of an Initial Logistics Support Package (ILSP).
