NASA/GSFC has a requirement for the upgrade/modification of a Government ownedTDRSS Simulator (TSIM). It has been determined that the NASA TSIM has a bad Miteqdownconverter. Since the downconverter is no longer available or supported by themanufacturer, a 1U chassis will need to be added to the TSIM rack which can house the RTLogic S-Band downconverter. This requires a Telemetrix 400FCBase Chassis and System Integration; an S-Band Agile Downconverter; system-specificcabling for interconnnetion of the new chasis within existing rack; engineering effortfor documentation updates (BOM), drawings, user guide, etc., along with systemintegration and testing.NASA/GSFC intends to purchase the replacement items and repair and modifications from RTLogic, Inc. of Colorado Springs, Colorado. RT Logic Inc. designed and manufactured theTSIM for Wallops Flight Facility. RT Logic Inc. has all the necessary documentation(manuals, prints, etc.) to perform the upgrade/modifications to the TDRSS Simulator(TSIM).
